Restore your balance and well being with gemstone essence soaps, oils, and salts

For over twenty years I have offered a technique of healing using crystals and gemstones positioned on and around the body called crystal healing. I have found it to be a most effective method to ease pain, stress, and tension particularly in sessions where Reiki and Aromatherapy are used in combination. A typical session lasts between 30 - 60 minutes.

Crystal healing is a gentle, relaxing, non-evasive therapy which seeks to balance energy in the body, mind, spirit and emotions. Since ancient times crystals have been used to heal and restore harmony. Crystal healing continues to be the cornerstone of my own practice.

Crystal healing uses the natural energies, color and vibrations of crystals and gemstones to clear and energize the aura and rebalance the chakras. The crystals are also used to work on releasing emotional and physical energy congestion. I offer both physical laying-on-stones and distance/auric grid sessions.

In my experience, I have found that crystal healing is effective in:
* promoting deep relaxation
* encouraging detoxification
* accelerating healing by supporting the body’s natural ability to heal
* moving and clearing energy blocks in the physical and auric energy fields
* opening the self to new levels of awareness and spiritual growth

When a client comes to my office for a crystal healing session, I will place crystals on specific areas of the body called chakras, the energy centers of the body and subtle bodies. Each center is associated with a unique vibration, sound, and color. The same color crystals as the color of the chakras are laid upon the body to enhance the flow of energy. Complementary colors are sometimes used to balance the energy or to direct the flow of energy to a particular part of the body. Others can be used to clear negative energy fields before they manifest as physical illness. The energies of specific crystals might be purifying, calming, energizing, grounding or uplifting.

'Tis the Season! The season of lights and the season of stress. And because crystal therapy promotes peace and tranquility and reduces mental and nervous stress, my appointment book is filling fast.

After the Barbeque... Natural Remedies for Summer

Skinned knees? Bug bites? Too many goodies? Try a natural remedy. It will save money and be gentler on your body and the environment than prepared drugstore products. You probably have these products in your pantry! Mother Nature has prepared a wonderful natural pharmacy made of sunshine, rain and her fertile soil. Yes, everything has the energy of its making inside it, so be sure to add love!

Indigestion and Heartburn

Did you overeat? Too much grease or spicy food? No, not a hotdog! Put down the antacids. The belching, bloat and heartburn caused by indigestion come about because you don’t have enough stomach acid to do the job right. A spoonful or two of apple cider vinegar will help break down the excess food that is causing you trouble and bring your stomach back to balance.

Nausea

The classic cure for nausea or carsickness is ginger tea or candied ginger. You can chew on the stuff raw, if you like, but it’s so spicy and strong it might just make you feel worse. Sniffing real peppermint or lavender oil can also help.

Constipation

First, drink more water and eat more fruit and salads. You’re backed up for a reason and taking lots of laxatives is not the answer. Meanwhile, drinking a few teaspoons of olive oil mixed with a bit of orange or (diluted) lemon juice can help things get moving. Another surefire remedy is 1/4 teaspoon of epsom salts drunk in 1/2 a glass of water. Sometimes calorie restriction or avoidance of healthy fats (such as the good fats found in fish, nuts and avocados) can worsen constipation. Other causes of constipation include stress, depression, inactivity and nutritional deficiencies. If your constipation is chronic, it may be a sign of a more serious problem, so please seek medical advice and adjust your lifestyle.

Flatulence

Some foods, like beans and raw veggies, are more likely to cause gas, but if you find flatulence to be too common of an occurrence, make use of digestive spices such as ginger, anise, peppermint, coriander and dill. You can make tea with these ingredients or incorporate them into your food.

Headache

Try rubbing peppermint or lavender oil on your temples and the base of your neck; sniffing these oils may also help. Rub a fresh cut lemon or lime on your forehead. Feverfew is a good herbal remedy for headaches. Have a little caffeine by way of green tea, and don’t forget to use an ice pack for 20 minutes to dull the throbbing.

To Stop Bleeding

You’d think it would burn, but a sprinkle of cayenne pepper on a cut will quickly stop the bleeding and actually relieve the pain.

Burns

So you bumped up against the grill again? Ouch. Rinse first with cold water, but then immediately apply aloe vera gel to the burn. Or, slice a potato and rub its cool, soothing juices all over the burn. And honey, with its antibacterial properties, is also good topical ointment.

Athlete’s Foot

It’s a foot fungus, and it stinks. Air those piggies, then soak them in salty water, wash them with garlic juice, or soak them with diluted white or apple cider vinegar. All of these things will help kill the fungus. But you have to be persistent, consistent and diligent: no matter what treatment you use, do it a few times a day and stick with it until at least a week after you think the symptoms are gone! Fungus excels at hiding out and coming back when you least expect it.

Rashes and Allergies

Prescription and over the counter antihistamines can cause some serious side effects. Before you head for the strong stuff, try green tea, which contains compounds with antihistamine properties. You’ll need to drink 2-3 cups a day to get the full effect.

Bathing In Blessings: Creating Structure

In this Sunday morning series, "Bathing in Blessings," I will teach you how to make wonderful elixirs that combine energies from minerals, herbs, and essential oils that you can use to add light to your lifestyle, and improve the quality of your life. For basic directions on how to make synergistic elixirs, please refer to the blog archives (right) on read the blog posted on Sunday, December 28, 2008, "Bathing in Blessings Lesson One: Forgivenes."

Humanity is Ascending. Much has been written on the subject, but for our purposes it is enough to say that we are changing, and waking up to our true divine nature and unlimited creative potential. And, as we may create sacred space in our environment in which to meditate or commit to a yoga practice, and restock our kitchens with healthy foods to support physical energy and health, we must also create a structure to hold the energy of creation before it can manifest in the physical world. In a very basic way, we are learning to hold more light, create with light, and add light to all aspects of our being.

Creating Structure. Structure is the formation vibration which when applied holds the space for layering other vibrations together for the completion or creation of a thought regardless of the creational level or dimension in which it is born. Much as a cup contains or holds the space for a potential mixing or blending in third dimension, structure provides a similar function in the energetic realms. Another way of perceiving structure is as a template or gridwork through which other vibrations may be woven. Structure provides a pathway for creation, development, or communication. The ingredients that effectively combine to create a structure elixir are lavender (essential oil), amethyst (mineral), and Saw Palmetto (herb).

A flower, a herb, a color, a scent, Lavender is each of these. Easy to grow and easy to appreciate, lavender is well worth getting to know as a flower and an aromatic herb. Although the flower buds are poopular in sachets and dream pillows, the stems and leaves of lavender can be used in dishes in place of rosemary in most recipes. To add a delightful twist to your next barbeque, place your favorite fruit on lavender stems and grill! For soothing lavender tea, brew 1 - 2 tsp whole herb per cup of hot water.

Lavender is a useful essential oil for the skin and for the mucous membranes. Lavender assists the skin in regenerating and has many acids that are supportive for healing dry skin conditions. Lavender oil is useful to mix with lemon and clove oil to help heal the gums and teeth; or for a toothache. Much has been written on the soothing properties of Lavender and it's obvious health benefits, so I won't go into those here. Instead, I am going to concentrate on how Lavender's energetic signature impacts the subtle bodies and assists in creation and manifestation.

Lavender provides the tone of creation related to structure which creates a new movement of energy flow that is rotational and magnetic. You will use a pure lavender essential oil as a base for your elixir. Advanced practioners can make their own lavender oil from thier medicinal gardens, but orgainic oil is readily available at health food stores, natural phamacies, and on-line.

Amethyst also assist you in restructuring your life and field to become unity based, or in other terms, embrace the flower of life energy flow. You can use a rough amethyst cluster or a faceted gemstone, or create a grid of amethysts and quartz points around your lavender oil.

Add the herb Saw Palmetto, which will assist you in ascending into the a new structure upon a biological level, which is crystalline. Throughout history, Saw Palmetto has been respected for its healing qualities. The Mayans drank it as a tonic, and the Seminole Indians used the berries as an expectorant and antiseptic. Saw Palmetto assists with the transmutative process during which cells re-compose themselves into a new genetic structure. In a deep way, Saw Palmetto acts as a bridge to assure that the new crystalline, genetic structure becomes physical in the act of biological ascension.

Elixirs are most often used by drinking glasses of charged water. They can also be used topically on the skin or put in bath water. A great way to absorb the elixirs is to mix them into your body lotionor blend into a salt or sugar scrub. These areall excellent methods of absorption into the body. You can also add them to distilled water in a clean spray bottle to create aura mysts.

Throughout time, Lightworkers have worked to see humanity ascend to a new level of awareness known as unity consciousness,a peaceful state of co-existence with all species upon Earth.
