The Twelve Laws of Karma

It is Spring. The Earth is calling you.

I recently raked my beach and restored my Medicine Wheel after a long winter of storms, and waves and wind. As I raked around it, I noted that the pattern had been pushed to the East. Only those stones were scattered, calling my attention.

The Medicine Wheel teaches that beginnings begin in the East, where the Sun rises to each new dawn. Spring is the season of the East, and the time of change. It is the season of new ideas, and seeing the light. Spring is the season when all things begin to grow and awaken.

Yellow is the color associated with East (and the Goddess Oshun). In the Medicine Wheel, yellow is the color of the Path of Life, to begin the walk as a "warrior", to shine in all that you do. The energy to do and to begin the action of the mind and heart is located in the East. The sun rising in the East empowers each of us. The totems of the East include animals of wings and flight. Our words are given to the east that the smoke in the air or the voices in the air may be carried to Spirit.

I was mindful of this as I replaced the stones, noting I needed to bring down a few more quartz clusters  which had been lost to the sands of time, resting back in the Earth from where they were born. I thought briefly of my own grandchildren, yet unborn, digging the clusters up on some future sunny summer's day. I watched my own boys, now young men, raking leaves and carrying away debris and I intuited, "they are already here." I felt content, and at deep peace with the circle that formed in my consciousness.

Last night had a dream in which the Grandmothers came to my Medicine Wheel and replaced the East stones with glowing blue eggs. Bigger than robin's eggs and deeper blue, I thought about the flock of Robins that had been in the yard yesterday, they caught my attention because they were tweeting so loundly. In my dream I thought, "Oh I am just dreaming this because of all those Robins, I forgot to replace the quartz clusters..." when I got a sharp NO! and was promptly propelled into another dream segment.

I am not going to elaborate on the cast of characters who entered my consciousness, and who rose up from the depths of history to share their wisdom. I will not share what was contained within the blue eggs. But I will tell you that am I am still shaking. And I will also tell you that the Goddess in her many forms stayed with me, changing her face as was required by the incarnations of the messengers, to make sure I "got it."


Our environments have been degraded, climate affected, our life-sustaining resources are being depleted and ruined by human ignorance and human greed. I was shown how politics and even religion itself will be used as weapons of war, as a leverage to separate people and to pit them against one another in a great conflict, not over ideology, but over the resources of the world, and how the conflict will be masked. It will be clothed in the disguise of politics and religion, but in essence it will be a competition for and over access and distribution of resources.

We citizens of the world are entering a time of self-imposed difficulty and environmentally-forced change to balance it. The world’s resources are declining. Populations are growing. And as this is occurring, there will be continued competition, manipulation, and conflict and war. Ancient animosities will be aroused. Prejudices will be played upon and used by those who are ambitious within both governments and religious institutions. Human weakness will be preyed upon, and fear will be pervasive.

The Goddess of My Understanding intends for humanity to become united and self-sufficient within a Universe full of intelligent life. Human strengths will be celebrated, and love will be the way.

I do intuit that there are beings, and systems, both within and beyond this world who are awaiting humanity’s failure to do so. I believe that just as there are human beings awaiting the opportunity to intervene in order to take advantage of a weak and conflicted humanity, there are interdimensional beings also sitting in the front row seats watching the show.

And, I do believe that throughout time, The Goddess has been sent forward into the world for the protection and advancement of humanity. And I believe she has birthed again for the very same reason. To make sure my grandchildren come to dig those crystals out of the beach, that the lake remains pristine and its creatures abundant.

What is threatening our human family and threatening to send it into despair, threatening to undermine the well-being and survival of people everywhere is our own blindness. Our ability to be manipulated. And, our fear.

Humanity’s possibility to navigate these difficult times is very small unless we embrace the collective wisdom of the Divine Feminine. The possibility for humanity to avoid ongoing war, conflict and degradation is very small unless the principles of the Goddess are restored to mass consciousness. The promise for humanity to begin a greater future, a future that will be unlike the past, will be very small if  the masculine principals of control and consumption, coersion and conquer are left in place to guide us forward.

To those who will be tempted to take up arms in the name of religion or political advantage: You must recognize that your thoughts, your intent and your actions go against the Goddess’s will for humanity. They are in violation of what Mother Earth intends for humanity. Of what all Mothers intend for their children.

It is Spring. The Earth is calling you. The Goddess, Divine Mother, is calling you. You must only sit quietly, out in the sunshine, and open your heart to hear. Her voice has never been more clear. Each day is a good new day with a fresh beginning, a new start.

Peace... a breath and a choice

Recently I connected with an old friend who asked me what I was teaching these days. She had done Reiki classes with me in the 90's and attended workshops on crystal healing, aromatherapy, astrology, meditation, macrobiotic cooking, yoga, chi gong, and feng shui which I facilitated for many years through Enviro-arts, a brick and mortar version of Oshun Spirit Earth Friendly Goods.

I thought for a moment. What AM I teaching these days? I know there is the collective energy of all of these past disciplines in the foundation of my work, but I'm no longer terribly concerned with  complex Sacred Geometry and Matrixes for Ascension and Zero Point Creation, or even applied Universal Law... it is much simpler than even THAT now. 

"Spiritual Empowerment" is a cool phrase, and a starting point which combines the essence of all of these practices. I offer interactive healing sessions with the intention of increasing your connection to your own inner knowing, your Spirit or Higher Self. I believe that by understanding and honoring your own intuitive processes, you can transform all energies in your life (even the ones you currently label as negative) into creativity, hope, joy and peace. In creating a perfect higher heart/mind alignment with the needs of your Spirit, your life can work in a simply perfect way. 

Alternatively, The Law of Attraction illustrates that what you send out to the Universe (an intelligent, creative, all giving entity that only wants the best for you) is what you get back. You ask for what you want, you wait with faith and eventually you take your seat at the table of abundance which was set for you awaiting your arrival. But there are a few missing pieces in this theory... (another blog, another day).


But true "Spiritual Empowerment" is even simpler than that. It is a breath and a choice. It is Free Will in a perfect alignment with the needs of your Spirit initiated through one breath that seals the deal. Yes, one breath. But the mind and heart must work together, and that can take some practice. But it's not about asking for anything or waiting for it. It's about being in the present, holding a vision, and taking a breath, and feeling how it felt. Did it feel good, peaceful, loving? OK keep going. Not so good? Make another choice. You didn't make a mistake. You didn't do it wrong. Just take another breath.

The painful and limiting emotions inside of us (usually found in the past or projected onto the future)  that keep us from heart-thinking and the ability to empower our lives can actually be released in one moment, with the choice not to breathe life into them ever again. You just need to be fearless in your commitment to the process of arriving at that choice. Peace, joy, love, courage and all the good stuff within our hearts don't have a prayer to find expression if painful emotions smother and repress them. We know that to truly empower our lives, we must face and release experiences of fear and enter them into expressions of love. But the experience of love can be difficult to obtain when there is no peace in our heart.

"I teach peace."

"OK, Gandhi," she laughed.

"No," I said, "I just realized that it's really that simple. I just raise the possibility that peace is an option. Then everything else just falls into place."

If you say to yourself, ‘I choose peace’ a hundred million times a day (well, every time you make a choice), and take a few seconds to breathe into that choice, eventually the presence of peace will enter your consciousness and make a nest. Those limiting emotions that restrict our highest being will be replaced by the higher magnetics of a new energetic momentum which will allow and welcome  the experience of peace to enter your work, relationships, body, image, and soul.

With the presence of peace within your heart and mind, you simply make choices that will continue to empower your life in the direction of your dreams. That is true Spiritual Empowerment. And Peace on Earth, Goodwill to All.

Crystal Balls, Tarot Cards, Pendulums and Psychic Readings... Oh My!

So, you're thinking that you might want to schedule an intuitive reading... but you're not really sure what to expect. You're imagining it might be, well, weird... or maybe even a little scary!

Relax. 

My name is Susan Berry. And, I offer psychic readings and spiritual counseling with one intention: to help you to be more aware of your Spirit – your higher self – and your plan and your purpose for your life.  When you have this awareness, you can make choices that are in harmony with your own highest  intentions.  And, you can experience your best possible life, love, and health!  

It is not my desire to predict your future, but to point you in the probable direction of joy, creativity, abundance and love. It is not my intention to tell you what to do, but remind you how to do what you want to do from the vantage point of your Spirit. When I do a reading for you, I first connect with you energetically. As a seer and empath, I do this most easily by viewing your photograph. I adjust my vibration so I can clearly "see and feel" you. Then I am able to access any guidance that is supportive of the present moment and your current level of spiritual understanding of the challenges in your life.  The information offered to you is always that of non-judgemental and compassionate wisdom. The purpose is  to open your heart, facilitate deep healing, and strengthen the flow of love and positive energy into your life.  It is given so that you may move forward with grace and in harmony, gifted with free will and the capacity to choose your course of action for the highest good as your life unfolds.

An intuitive reading with me is simply a guided journey into the larger story of your life so that you may make informed choices from the perspective of the higher planes. It's not weird.  And it is certainly not scary! It is beautiful.

With this in mind, it I recommend that it is always best to approach the reading process with clear goals in terms of what you wish to heal or balance, and with a list of questions that you would like answers to.  And, after you compose your list, ask yourself if the questions you are asking are really reflective of what you want to know? Go deeper, always go one layer deeper!

Although readings generally do not require much preparation on the part of you, the client,  there are still certain things that you can do both before and during the reading which will help you to get the most out of our time together. First, ask yourself why you want to have a reading. Do you just want to hear what you want to hear? Or, are you ready to un-earth and face long buried truths? Are you prepared to listen to the facts as they present themselves and are you willing to follow through with directives for transformation? Are you ready for a deep healing that can change your life?


I offer readings as catalysts for healing. I open myself only to sacred purpose. If you want lotto numbers I'm not the channel for you.


I do recommend that you write your questions down prior to our time together as it is easy to forget to ask the most important question that you wanted to explore, especially when we get a really good connection, as the information that comes through can be fast and furious!

My goal is to diminish some of your unsettled nerves beneath which exists a natural curiosity about life and a desire to know things on a deeper level. After all, without that curiosity and desire you would not be seeking a reading! 

It’s important to remember too that psychic abilities are normal and we all possess them to a degree. We all have "psychic" moments and although many people like to brush these aside with the word “coincidence” the truth is that there are no coincidences. We all have a psychic sense, it’s a normal part of our being human so don’t be afraid of this. Remember that I am a regular person just like you! I've just focused on my gift and practiced for many years, just as a concert pianist is graced with mastership of music from years of perfecting that natural gift.

So, connect with the feeling of excitement around this desire to know, and let that guide you. That will help put you in touch with the voice of your own intuition and when it is time for your reading take a deep breath and relax. This deep relaxation will make a world of difference in the quality of your reading and your ability to intuit the subtle meanings in the message. As you listen to what is being channelled to you from spirit, you may not accept everything that you are being given right away. I ask that you do remain open to the possibilities that this information is being given to help you, and that you will gain clarity over time. So, take some time before-hand to think deeply about the questions you wish to ask and write them down. Having "notes" will help you to feel more relaxed during our time together. And in that space of relaxation, peace and an open heart – miracles occur!

Projecting Judgement: The Mind, The Ego, The Spirit, and The Light

In meditation this morning I kept seeing a ‘projector’ in my mind. I assumed it was being given to me as a symbolic message as part of a reading I was preparing for. I do see a beam of light as a metaphor often, but my attention was focused on the wheels and gadgetry of the thing. So I decided to explore the prompt to investigate what I was really looking at... the machine.

The machine... with the ability of streaming internal images (or ideas) out and onto something (or someone) else... and I started to think about people as living, breathing projectors.

Everyone one of us is a being of light with the ability to shine that light out as an emanation of who and what we are...

But machines are cold, programmed and tooled...

And I "heard" the word judgement. Now, I've been aware of myself watching ideas of justice and judgement playing themselves out in the world and national news, in pop-culture and media, and recently spilling into the mini-dramas of day to day interactions. I've been aware of callous comments, negative attacks, calls for condemnation and the consequences of jumping to judgements. It's a word that has been rattling around in my consciousness...

Oh... Projecting Judgement! Judgment is a big idea with an immense base of power because judgments have the ability to alter realities, and very quickly. That makes them attractive! Judgements send strong currents of energy which affect individuals, communities, and indeed even nations. But judgements are subjective, and they are an illusion. They are projections of the mind, and not the spirit. And they do not really serve as surrogates for the justice we might desire, but rather, judgements act as jailers of the emotions and vulnerabilities within ourselves which keep us in the chains of denial, fear, and separation from each other.

And certainly, judgements keep us out of the light.

A person being judged will certainly react in some way. Depending on the awareness of the individual it might be with reflection... judgement may spark compassion and a blessing from the heart. But often judgement produces a physical, verbal, and/or emotionally charged reaction fitered through the mind or ego... and the need to defend or deny, or blame, or apologize, or retaliate... or meditate.

The judgment will also impact the speaker. If they become conscious of what they are really saying, their awareness will allow for growth and positive change within themselves. However, if they cannot become conscious, the behavior and/or person they are judging will become increasingly aggravating and intolerable to them. Of course the more ‘heat’ there is in the judgement, the more spirit is calling for inner reflection. And please don't judge THAT as a bad thing!

When I catch myself proclaiming a judgement, I ask myself:

• How powerful is this person over me that she/he generates such a fearful response in me?
• Why have I given away my own power in this situation?
• What frame of mind am I coming from?
• What is the self-talk that speaks within me?

Back to the projector. Remember, it is a machine that reflects outwardly the "image" that has been placed inside of it, just as we project outwardly the image we hold of ourselves within. Now take that one step further:

• What is that image?
• Who placed it there?
• What is my true essence?
• Am I projecting that?

We usually project outwardly what we are thinking/feeling about ourselves. And we are usually projecting fear about our own perceived shortcomings when we project a judgement, and that is merely a mechanism of the ego machine. The conditioned mind, not the light that we are.


Truthfully we can only see in another what we can find in ourselves. For some people, this concept will be intriguing and allow an openness to test and investigate!  It will begin a path toward inner knowing, self reflection, healing, and growth. Why? Because you will begin to discover your patterns of behavior. Only in consciously knowing about something can you consciously change it.

For others this concept will be upsetting. It might be more comfortable to go into denial about some of the judgments you have. So then, just become aware of the judgments that others have. Are they judging behaviors and manners that they have enacted themselves? Just be an observer for now…

It is natural and prevalent in human nature to comment on what is outside of us. However, it is of our spiritual nature to remain within ourselves, within our own individual experiences where our individual lessons and opportunities for growth await our discovery. When we step into someone else’s world, and judge their experiences…we are in essence giving away our own power to something that can not serve us and will, in the end, only weaken our experience.

Every time I find myself involved with the happenings of another, their reactions, conflicts, and drama… I try to become instantly aware of the amount of my own energy that is getting usurped. I realize that I am using energy that could be better spent directed to my own needs, wants, desires, dreams, and manifestations. I measure very carefully what I'm willing to give away.

We can all work on our projections! Take a breath, and realize in that moment that you were about to take time away from yourself and give up an opportunity for self-awareness. Take that time back to tinker with the gadgetry of your projector, and in that moment, bring the fragments of your light back into focus so that you can fully see the picture of beauty within yourself. Bring your true essence back into focus. Then go ahead and project that love!

1/11/11 Repeating Elevens: Opening to the opportunity

Master number 11 is symbolic of your intuition, instinct, and faith in yourself. It is known as the psychics' number, it's the most intuitive of all numbers and it represents illumination and deep insight. It also represents inner processes, those which help us find meaning, fulfillment and happiness. Eleven represents a bigger goal for our life beyond ourselves. In numerology 11 acts as a channel for information between the higher and the lower, much like the heart.

Therefore, its repetition today speaks to relationships, to compassion, and to the wisdom of the heart in a big way. Repeating 11s ask us to put the power of our heart's knowing, of our intuition to good use: to a bigger goal for our life beyond ourselves.

It's another signal that the time has really come to tap in to this inner part of ourselves to learn the information we need to make well-informed decisions in whatever situations we're facing now, and will be in the future. Its about preparing a relationship with our future that is focused on the deeper meaning of our lives.

This is time for an evaluation regarding all of our relationships. But I use the word relationship here referring to everything that you are associated with —your business (and way of doing business), your possessions, your home, the world itself, the change that is occurring within the world, the nation in which you live, the planet that you're on, and many other things as well. They all represent relationship.

It's time to take stock of your involvement in the world, what brings you joy, what stresses you out, for it gives you a very clear pathway to follow in discerning what is valuable and what is not, what is helpful and what is a hindrance, what will be needed in the future and what will hold you back. Your relationships are not just with people but with places, with things, with habits, with events, and with the whole world itself.

What works in relationships in one arena will translate into other areas as well. If you have a harmful relationship with your work, for example, it will generate many of the same difficulties and impedance in your life as a difficult relationship with a person. If you have a difficult relationship with your beliefs, they will hold you back. They will limit your possibilities.

We all have a relationship with the future. We are sent into the world to serve the world as it undergoes the beginning period of great change. That relationship must be centered in compassion.

It results from the profound interdependence we all share with one another. However capable and skillful an individual may be, left alone, he or she will not survive. Inter-dependence, of course, is a fundamental law of nature. Not only higher forms of life but also many of the smallest insects are social beings who, without any religion, law or education, survive by mutual cooperation based on an innate recognition of their interconnectedness. The most subtle level of material phenomena is also governed by interdependence. All phenomena from the planet we inhabit to the oceans, clouds, forests and flowers that surround us, arise in dependence upon subtle patterns of energy. Without their proper interaction, they dissolve and decay."

The condition of your life, then, as a whole represents the condition of all these relationships. You are either gaining strength or losing strength to every one of these relationships. Certainly, some are more important and potent than others, but they all have a bearing on your life.

So today, let the repeating elevens be a reminder to evaluate what you are giving your life to, and become aware of the consequences. Think for a moment in terms of everything being a relationship. You have a relationship with people, places, things, events, the past, the future, world events. You even have a relationship with the Universe, it's energy, and the creative potential and power it will gift you - when you get aligned with your heart.

May you discover what this really means to you, and how important it will be for our future.

As many of you know, I have offered intuitive counseling and spiritual healing in many different forms over the past decades, both locally and on online. These transformations have led me to this moment, and to the dedication of my practice in 2011 to The Great Alignment, that is to assist awakening people to access the wisdom of their divine spiritual essence which resides in the heart.

The Great Alignment is not an external event destined to occur on a specific date, marked by astrological cycles or ancient prophesy. It is within you. It will occur individually and collectively as each individual who embraces the spiritual calling to awaken, and opens their heart unconditionally to love, adds their light and love and consciousness to the the collective planetary consciousness. It is through many individuals awakening that Earth herself will come into alignment with her own potential as a Divine Mother.

What is the Great Alignment? It is a direct pathway to self-knowledge, which in essence is the Creator within you. Source has given you an awareness, a consciousness within your heart which is your own source of inner wisdom. However, this consciousness is not like your intellect. It is not constantly thinking, planning, remembering, imagining, and so forth. It is more of an awareness, a state of being. And it is connected to everything in the universe. And I want you to get aligned with it and stay with it, and trust it. And use it. Everyday.

Your open, etheric heart contains your multi-dimensional connection to the Creator. Its function is to assure you that while you are living here, in the world in a state of seeming separation, you are not really apart from Source. Our minds cannot fathom such an intimate connection with the Divine because our intellect was not created by God. Your intellect was created by you, and your family, and by your environment, and by me and mine. What was created by God is the "heart knowledge" within you and me, this deeper mind that is connected to all creation in the universe. And it will not fail you when you rely on its wisdom. That I promise.

Your heart contains the memory of your soul, the memory of your purpose for being here, and the blueprint for your mission in life, the greater activity that you and you alone are here to accomplish. The ascending heart and sacred heart chakras house the essence of Universal Compassion and Universal Love. They create a triad via an etheric link with the heart chakra. There is a holographic projection of the link between these three centers held in the subtle energy field. This hologram is known as the etheric heart. Its purpose is to facilitate communication via the language of light between our soul, the Universal Heart, and the Universal Mind. This is the essence of The Great Alignment.

Through the components of the program, I will guide you to create a very individualized, and efficient, pathway to the source of your inner wisdom. It has always been my intention to offer a loving, non-judgemental, safe, and light-filled experience that will illuminate and encourage a unique spiritual healing and transformation process. • to bathe you in the continuous energetic support of a 7-day crystalline grid which will assist you in maintaining energetically balanced patterns in your own crystalline structure as you optimize the flow of universal life force energy in all aspects of your life

• to release any blockages that impede the free flow of expression and the manifestation of your life purpose

• to awaken and catalyze the healing, transformation, and purification process which leads to personal and planetary ascension

Having an awakened heart and being aligned with your life purpose does not mean that you have a plan that is already predetermined. You must constantly be adapting to the changing circumstances of life around you. Many people try to adapt their experiences to their definitions of themselves, their definitions of what they are doing in life, but this is backwards. Your heart knows why you are here and what you must do. It knows who you must meet and where you must go, and when. And yet this awakened heart is in a dynamic relationship with the movement of the world, so if things change, which they are, if circumstances require a different set of actions, your Heart Knowledge responds immediately without judgement, without shame, and without fear. This is the Gift of The Great Alignment.

The awakened heart is able to respond in the moment with joy and excitement. It is able to change the plan. It is able to redirect you if circumstances require it. It is creativity and inspiration in harmonious action with your life plan.

These challenging times ask that we learn to live without a lot of our personal or ego definitions. The "this is who I am, and this is what I do, and this is how I am, and this is what I believe, and this is what I think the world means and life means and purpose means and love means... and so forth” will no longer serve us. Bound by all these definitions, we cannot flow with life now. We will not.

Therefore, the primary goal of The Great Alignment is to empower you to be present in the moment, to be responsive to your environment, and to awaken your ability to trust and follow your heart knowledge.  My prayer is that I am able to support you in the very personal way which is pivotal to your understanding and experience of this truth, so that you may gain the great awareness and the great power of thinking from the heart. This knowledge is your relationship to God, and the key to creating Heaven on Earth for yourself, your family, and us all.

One Good Thing: Laughlines!

I've got 'em and I admit it... I love 'em!

FYI, as we grow older, small crinkles WILL eventually appear around our eyes. It will happen to you, too. Has it already? Is it time for Botox? The knife? Big black Jackie-O glasses?

Breathe. To me they are a map tracing back thru time to the joys of my life. Some call them wrinkles, or crows feet, but I know that they are laugh lines, time lines, moments of clarity and wisdom that erupted in a chuckle and perhaps even bit of spittle and snort!

The prevention and treatment of crows feet and wrinkles is a bazilliongazillion dollar business... but I'm going to have to treat them because I simply cannot prevent them!

I behave badly, wildly and I cannot contain myself sometimes.

Wrinkle Experts warn to avoid sun exposure, but I have two beaches on my property for a reason...  I'm a sunny girl! I wear sunscreen to prevent burning and sunglasses to prevent squinting, but I love to be outdoors all day on the lake, in summer and winter, spring and fall, and I love to laugh!

I might even consider Botox or laser resurfacing treatments before I give up enjoying Bob Marley and a frosty Magarita with friends under the blazing summer sun, or the laughing that accompanies bad golf, tipped kayaks, snowboarding in Tshirts, or big, wet dogs around ladies in brand new designer weekend wear.

Actually, I do use acupuncture to reduce stress (also called a needle facelift) and and the result is a regenerated, fresh face... clusters of tiny needles placed into the skin around my eyes, on my neck, and shoulders are a small inconvenience for the joy of driving with the top down from April to October.

But embracing the crinkles is like looking back in time, like an album of sorts, of wisdom and joy. These lines affirm that I can see that I am more than capable of embracing my life experiences from a powerful place of learning and growth... and a smile.

• that those jeans never made me look as fat as I thought I was!

Wisdom from the Grandmothers: The Way to Peace

 Every once in a while someone finds me online,  on a selling site, facebook or through google and feels the need to challenge me, chastise me, or save me, via email. I say pick up the phone, come over for tea. Let's have some face time if this is really that important to you. At least, please use your true name in your emails so we can make a real connection.

And while I do appreciate the kind gestures springing from your dogma of choice, name calling, threats of eternal damnation, and warnings that I am running out of time to jump on your (one-and-only) bandwagon don't come across as very loving.... to me.

I have a new fan. And she's been writing to me, warning me, as part of her mission. And while I am a pretty present and grounded girl, I have to admit I find her constant contact unsettling. Yesterday, while reading her email I felt real negativity entering me. She was sending me fire, hate, and unfounded judgement, ignorance and intolerance, and I was allowing her bully-behavior into my sacred space.

I shifted right into the crazy place. I thought about my defense. My "rights." My "right" rights to squash this.

I know about returning unwanted energies, so I stated out loud "These energies are not mine to deal with, please return them to the sender."  I phrased it differently in my head at first but regrouped to a kinder, gentler me. And then I added the "please."

I stopped reading and recognized that this was not mine to deal with, these emotions of fear, anger and guilt were not my own, but from the sender. And although I felt calmer in this knowing, I did not feel resolved or balanced. I wondered if there was some better way I could assist the sender. So I sent feelings of love, joy, harmony and peace, and pictured the sender in her highest light.

I know that many people would have reacted to this situation by returning an email, perhaps with as much anger as directed at them, and some of us skilled with words and thoughtforms might have even drawn mightier swords. You, like me, might have even tried (once again) to educate and reason with the sender, but both of these reactions have only added to the energy charge already formed, expressed. They form a line in the sand, between my viewpoints and hers.

When defensive emotions rise within me I try to sense why they are being triggered. I become aware of the first thing or situation that comes to my mind, leading me to realize what needs to be released within me.

Today another email, even more negative (no, that is a judgement... I'll say extremest) than yesterday. She wanted a response. A validation of her "rights" and my wrongs, repentance and conversion, and a surrender of my position. Her sword, drawn in the name... of what?

So I went to my healing room and meditated, surrendered. As I sat quietly I realized that the energies that I had returned in the past by engaging in dialouge, no matter how well-intentioned, had in fact made things worse, by adding defense to the already unstable energy of attack. If I'm not one of the right "them," I am one of the "wrong others." I can only be for them or against them, and if I am not with them then the perception is that I am fighting them.  Any defense is seen as an attack. I cannot win. This war.

No, war is not the answer, and it will never create peace.

I asked my guides to show me how to handle this situation correctly.

I heard, "send the unhealed negative energies to Source and ask that they be transmuted and that these now positive energies be dedicated to The Earth Mother."

Wisdom from the grandmothers.

Dearest Creator, the Source of unconditional love. I ask that the negative unhealed energies being created and directed at me by x, be sent to you to be transmuted. I ask that this now positive energy be dedicated to Mother Earth to assist in raising the vibrations of this beautiful planet.

And I went to my computer.

My Dear Sister, I see you in your highest light, be your heart filled with love, peace, harmony, joy, tolerance and gratitude. Be this for your highest and greatest good and the highest and greatest good of all.

I think of them as Springtime words, actually "springy" words and I can't say (or think) either one without softening eyes, a smile, and a sense of hope and buoyancy. True Colors: Reading the Energy Flows of the Auric Field

When I look at you I see colors. It does not matter if I look at you across the table, or at a photo of your past self. I see what is your true self, now, in living color.  Why? I am looking at your auric field.

Your aura is an energetic field that surrounds and penetrates your physical body and helps to supply your physical body with Universal Life Force Energy. And it helps me to see what work you need to do to be a happy, healthy human!

It is normal, and common, for clairvoyants and healers to "see and read" colors in the energy field around a person. The human aura consists of layers of energy which are vibrating at different rates,  manifesting as different color frequencies. I can sense these with my hands as well, and read the colors thru temperature and density impressions. I am able to both see and feel the flow of Life Force in these layers.

The Etheric level is the most dense vibration. It  holds together your physical incarnation. It is the slowest vibration of seven layers I will describe.  This layer is the blue print of your physical body. You will still experience feeling here if you lose a finger or a limb, known as phantom limb syndrome, because on the etheric level your body is still whole.  This level is also connected to our physical senses including touch, tasting, smell, listening, seeing, and feeling. If energy is weak or damaged on this level, they may experience a physical weakness or early symptoms of disease. You may not function well, have low energy, and dislike physical activity. You may love to eat, but hate to be touched. If this level of your aura is strong and balanced, then you will enjoy physical sensory experiences in balanced and healthy ways. 


The second level of the aura is associated with your feelings and emotions about yourself, and is known as the lower emotional body.  The energy movement here correlates to the feeling you are having about yourself.  If you allow your feelings to flow whether positive or negative, the aura will keep itself balanced, the negative energy being released and transformed.

If you stop yourself experiencing your emotions, or block them with judgement or conditional approval,  then you will stop that flow of energy on the second level connected to the emotions.

The third level of the aura is associated with our logical, conditioned mind and is known as the lower mental body.  When this level is balanced the rational and intuitive mind work together in harmony as one. We then experience clarity, balance, and a sense of knowing.  We feel self accepting, safe and have a sense of personal power. If this level is strong and charged you will have a strong clear mind that serves you well. You will be interested in learning, growing, and embrace change and challenge.

If this level is weak and undercharged, you will lack mental agility and clarity.  You will probably not be interested in intellectual pursuits and be happy to sit with judgements born of outdated beliefs and ideas.  When your thoughts are negative in this level, the energy will travel slower and become darker and distorted. Negative thought forms correspond to our habitual negative thought processes.  They are difficult to change, because they appear to be logical. You will react from a place of fear when challenged.

These negative thought forms can also be affected by stagnated emotions from the second and fourth levels of the aura. The natural state of energy is to be in constant motion, and when this motion is restricted in some way on different levels, any level in between will eventually be affected. When we stop the energy flow on the second and fourth levels the third level energy becomes distorted also. This is a common human condition in today's world, as we struggle to move to a more heart-centered way of relating.

The first three levels of the aura represent the physical, emotional and mental experiences of our world in the physical body. The fourth level of relationships represents the bridge between the physical and spiritual worlds. The higher three levels represent our physical, emotional and mental experiences of our spiritual world.  These are templates for the lower chakras, each higher level serves as a pattern for the corresponding lower levels.

The fourth level of the aura carries our whole world of relationships and is known as the astral body.  From this level we interact with other people, animals, plants, and inanimate objects, Mother Earth, the sun, stars and entire universe.

This is where we hold our feelings about each other.  If I find this level low in energy, it will appear very dark, and will have almost a sticky like feeling to the energy.  This acts like a mucus which will accumulate in the energy field of someone who has a lot of negativity in their aura.  This in turn will have a strong affect on the physical body, causing pain and discomfort, a feeling of heaviness, exhaustion and eventually dis-ease. It can stores toxin much like fat does in a stagnant physical body.

The Fifth level is the level of divine will.  This level contains not only the form of your body, but the form of all other life, the unfolding evolutionary pattern of life that manifests into pattern and form.  The personal experience at this level is not easy to explain, because we lack the vocabulary to describe it.  This Divine Will exists within us all, and is all around us.  You have free will to either align yourself to this divine will or not.

Divine will is the template or pattern for the great evolutionary plan of humanity and the universe.  This template is alive, pulsating and constantly unfolding.  It has a powerful almost inexorable feeling of will and purpose.  To experience it is to experience perfect order.  This is also the level of symbols, and keys to unlocking our potential as co-creators. If you are aligned with the divine will your fifth level will be strong and full of energy.  The patterns within your energy will fit the universal pattern of divine will, you will feel a connectedness with all that is around you, because you will be in your place with your purpose, and synchronized with all places and purposes.You will magnetize all that you desire for your highest good to you as a wise steward of those resources.

If you are not aligned with divine will, the energy on this level will be distorted, it will not fit with the greater Universal pattern.  You may feel totally disconnected to all things that are around you. You will not know your place in the Universal scheme of things or your life purpose. Life will seem a struggle. If you have doubts about your self worth you may experience the fifth level as impersonal and unloving, because on this level your purpose, not your feelings are more important.

If you have negative feelings about yourself as your bring your conscious awareness to this level, you may experience yourself as insignificant, invisible and unimportant.  If this level is weak, there may be a lot of disorder in your life. If this level is weak with low energy, you will not have many spiritual or inspirational experiences. You may be totally unaware of what people are talking about when they discuss it. It is as if sleeping while awake. When this level is under charged it is very difficult for the person to experience anything regarding spiritual nourishment. 

This will cause the sixth level to be undercharged, as the individual does not know that he or she needs spiritual nourishment. In fact it may cause the aura to have a gap between this level and the others, creating a disharmony in the aura. You can begin to charge this level of the aura by simply sitting quietly in meditation for a few minutes a few times a day.

The Sixth level is the level of feelings within the world of spirit; it is the level of our divine love.  Sitting in this level of conscious awareness brings a great calming effect to the body for healing and creation.  It contains the ecstasy within our spirituality.  It is experienced as spiritual love, as joy, elation and bliss! We reach this level of experience by silencing the mind and listening for spirit's whispers. 

Contemplation of this level and meditation on the great evolutionary plan can help greatly to align your life with its purpose and ease the stresses of your personal development.  It means surrendering to who you truly are, and not to what seems right according to others.

You reach into this level through meditation, through the contemplation of art, fine music, by chanting, traditional ritual, or compassionate acts.  Expansion  allows us to commune in brotherhood with all the beings of the spiritual worlds of various dimensions as well as all of humanity, plants and the animals on Earth as light beams emanating from the central light.

The Seventh level is the highest vibration within our immediate energy field. It is made up of an extremely strong golden energy, which forms into an egg shape that surrounds and protects everything within it.  It regulates the proper flow of energy out from the entire aura into space and beyond.  It prevents energy leakage from the aura, as well as penetration by unhealthy energies from outside.  The seventh level holds the entire field together and has amazing strength. This is the barometer that is opened in the Soul Star Earth Star Activation.

This is the level of the divine mind. When it is healthy and we bring our conscious awareness to this level, we experience divine mind within us and enter into the world of the universal Divine Mind Field.  Here we begin to understand and know that we are a great part of the great pattern of life.

It is at this level that at we will start to communicate mind to mind, and heart to heart as perfectly normal.  If this level is strong, charged and healthy, your abilities will include creative ideas  and the understanding of broad overall concepts about existence, the world and its nature.  You will create new ideas and you will know where they fit into the creative field.

If you continually search for higher truth in your life and meditate, all levels of your energy body will bring you creative ideas that may blossom into manifestation on the physical plane.  This includes your health and a full life.  But it is necessary to clear, charge and balance all of the bodies and therefore all the areas of the human experience.  Energy healing focuses on all seven levels of the aura, to start to create that perfect balance within you, and within us all. Heaven on Earth is within us all.

What follows is not intended to dictate how to pray, but rather is a suggested structure into which you can place your Journey Beads to assist you in creating your own, very personalized prayer, mediation or healing practice. It draws upon the prayer practices of a number of religious and spiritual traditions and seeks to put together a pattern of prayer that you can tailor to your own needs. This practice uses the image of a journey, one form of prayer moving into the next.

Preparation: The first, largest bead provides a way into this prayer journey. While touching it, I gently breathe in and out a few times, recite a passage that centers me and creates a space within for the prayer that is to follow.

In this set, I have chosen a copper washed Murano Glass Tachyon Bead (approx 1.5 x 2 inches) to begin this Touchstone Strand. It is not flat, but slightly curved to please the touch! The Spiral is an ancient and powerful symbol, reflecting this energy known as the oneness, unconditional divine love, and Zero Point energy. The living spiral does not begin or end, it is an ongoing process of the discovery of the essence that connects all things. I relate the spiral to Goddess Energy, the Amber, Carnelian and Copper flow symbolizes Oshun and serves as a beautiful offering.

Entering In: With the four small spiral spacer beads at the beginning of the prayer strand, I enter into this "journey” of prayer. Spacer Beads remind me to breathe, relax, enjoy the moment, and have faith that my journey is unfolding as it should. The spiral is a symbol of the spiritual journey of learning and growing. It seems that life doesn't proceed in a straight line. The path of life more closely resemble a spiral. We seem to pass the same point over and over again but from a different perspective each time. The spiral stands for coming into being.

It can symbolize:

    * Evolution and holistic growth

    * Letting go, surrender, release

    * An awareness of the one within the context of the whole

    * Connectivity and union with universal energies

    * Revolutions of time, stars, planets and the way of natural progress


With each bead I recite (you can assign passages here from any tradition or create your own):

Open my eyes, that I might see your face in everyone I encounter this day, myself included.

Open my ears, that I might hear your voice in whatever forms it takes.

Open my hands, that I might freely give whatever is mine to share.

Open my heart, that I might live and love more fully in you.

I take the time here to be fully intentional about my practice.

Naming: The first Affirmation Bead is for naming the sacred and the holy of your understanding. In traditional prayer terminology, this is praise and thanksgiving. I think of it as naming the places in my life where miracles abound, a chance to "count my blessings,” and a way of beginning my prayer centered in the awareness of the ways in which the holy is happening in my life.

I have chosen black Murano glass beads with copper and white spirals around the bead. These represent the ability to be fully present and grounded, while maintaining the energy of the higher planes.

"I am safe and secure at all times.

I am divinely protected and guided and my way is made smooth and easy.

I am willing to release all my old patterns of fear and insecurity to live with joy and well-being now.

I trust in the process of my life to unfold for my highest good and greatest joy.

I am creating a healthy foundation on which creativity can flourish."

The Three Spiral Spacer Beads: The three small beads between the Affirmation Beads are for "breath prayer.” Many of the world’s religious traditions encourage a short, repetitive prayer tied to the breath. You say one line on the in-breath and a second on the out-breath. Part of the power of a breath prayer is its repetition. Live with it long enough for it to become a part of you.

I repeat, "I am, Oshun"

Knowing: The second Affirmation Bead is for giving voice to the broken, wounded, worried places in your soul. (Traditionally, this is called a prayer of confession.) It is the chance to take a "fearless moral inventory” and to give voice to what lurks in the shadow. Prayer calls on us to be authentic, whole people, and knowing where we are weak and wounded is essential. Here is where deep healing takes root.

Listening: The third Affirmation Bead is for listening to "the voice of quiet stillness” within. This is a chance to sit in the Mystery, gently breathing. (Depending on the tradition, this is called meditation or contemplation.) Far too often, people think of prayer as "talking to the sacred,” forgetting that in any good conversation we must make room to listen as well as speak.

Loving: The fourth and last Affirmation Bead provides a place to bring the concerns of others—family, friends, communities, the world—into your prayer. These prayers of intercession, as they are traditionally called, are a chance to encourage your prayer to move outward. Call to mind people and situations you know who are in need, or sit quietly and see who (or what) comes to mind.

Closing: Whatever I said to enter into my prayer time, I repeat with the four beads at the end of the strand.

Putting It All Together: I carry my beads with me everywhere, and I find that simply touching them brings me into a prayerful, powerful place where I can love and be love in any situation.

SAD? Brighten your Spirit and Treat Seasonal Affective Disorder with Color!

Learning about and using color's qualities and properties can enhance your spirit, improve your health, and even expand your consciousness. Known as chromo therapy, color therapy, is used to restore balance wherever our bodies are lacking energy, be it in physical, emotional, spiritual, or mental bodies, or in the auric field that is an energy field that surrounds you. I have long used crystal healing and colored light therapy in conjunction with Reiki during my sessions with clients, and I work with color during my own personal meditations.

Add positive affirmations to light, and you've created a very powerful tool to create and maintain balance in your life!

In each layer of your aura there are different colors that may be used for clearing and re-balancing your energy field. A skilled practitioner does an aura scan or aura reading to determine the health and wellbeing of your spirit– which in turn influences your mind, emotions and physical health. (This can be done over distance as effectively as in person.) When the spirit is is harmony, there is an opening in clearing and healing all aspects of your life.

Color is simply a form of visible light, of electromagnetic energy. Light is the visible reflection off the particles in the atmosphere. Color makes up a band of these light wave frequencies from red at 1/33,000th's of an inch wavelength to violet at 1/67,000 of an inch wavelength. Below red lie infrared and radio waves. Above it: the invisible ultraviolet, x-rays, and gamma rays. We all understand the impact of ultraviolet and x-rays... so of course the light we are able to see as color impacts us as well.

How we "feel" about color is more than psychological. The last decade has proven that lack of color, or more specifically, light, causes millions to suffer each winter from a mild depression known as Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). Because of the complex way in which exposure to various colors acts via the brain upon the autonomic nervous system, exposure to a specific color can even alter physiological measurements such as blood pressure, electrical skin resistance and glandular functions in your body. And they most certainly can affect how we feel on a day-to-day basis.
