Add our Affirmation Beads for prayer, meditation, and mindfulness as you navigate life's twists and turns. An affirmation is a statement expressed in the present tense and phrased in the positive. Affirmations focus the mind and clarify attention and intention. Affirmations are simultaneously an expression of expectation and an expression of gratitude, they are both a journey and a destination. An affirmation tag is included with each bead in this collection.

Pathway Beads help you to stay focused on your dream, be it the path to prosperity, joy, balance, courage, motherhood, healing, love, recovery, or spiritual growth... our paths are many! You set the intention for your pathway beads. Directions on how to power up your jewelry with Solar energies are included with Pathway Beads.

Milestone Beads are a beautiful way to celebrate every insight you experience and every goal you reach, large or small. Milestone Beads are charms which represent movement and flexibility. Each bead in this collection is blessed with positive energies and comes with an affirmation tag.

Add Spacer Beads to remind you to breathe, relax, enjoy the moment, and have faith that your journey is unfolding as it should. There are several styles in Tibetan Silver to choose from.

Everything is made up of electromagnetic energy vibrating at different frequencies that correspond to sound, light and color. We are drawn to the colors needed to create balance in our lives, the goal in all healing. Colors are frequency wavelengths that we connect with based on grid (matrix) attraction.

Journey Beads are created to hold energy (frequencies) for inspiration, healing, awareness, creativity, prosperity – and whatever your goals are.

Wear Journey Beads for prayer, meditation, and mindfulness as you navigate life’s twists and turns. An affirmation tag is included with each bead in this collection.

Prayer beads are universal. The use of beads to support prayer appears to have originated with the Hindus in India (185 BC to AD 320) Today two-thirds of the world population utilizes some form of prayer beads. The circular form of prayer beads has different levels of spiritual and psychological meanings. In meditation, the circle draws the mind into contemplation: one uses prayer beads, ringing oneself in, thus concentrating energy. Journey Beads vary in shape, color, texture, and size to symbolize our emotional, mental, and physical states. Wearing and holding the beads serve as a tactile reminder of where we are each moment.
Like their secular counterparts including japa, mala, rosarium, kombologion, chotkiworry beads, subha, tallit, and prayer beads non-denominational Journey Beads offer a kinesthetic comfort – they can be a means in a material world to remember one’s place in the spiritual world.

Journey Beads may also symbolize the commitment to a spiritually centered way of life. In their circular form, a string represents the universal interconnectedness of all who pray.

Touchstone strands are a flexible way to enjoy your Journey Beads. They can be held in prayer and meditation, used as a bookmark, or kept in your pocket to touch while you are waiting in line, talking on the telephone, or out walking. But unlike traditional Rosary or Mala Beads, Journey Beads Touchstone Strands are about 8" long to easily fit in your pocket and palm so you can use them discreetly anywhere and in any situation. Touchstone strands are very soothing to the touch, and their energy is lovely, by design!

What follows is not intended to dictate how to pray, but rather is a suggested structure into which you can place your Journey Beads to assist you in creating your own, very personalized prayer practice. It draws upon the prayer practices of a number of religious and spiritual traditions and seeks to put together a pattern of prayer that you can tailor to your own needs. This practice uses the image of a journey, one form of prayer moving into the next.

Preparation: The first, largest bead provides a way into this prayer journey. While touching it, you might gently breathe in and out a few times, sing a favorite hymn, or recite a passage of scripture that centers you and creates a space within for the prayer that is to follow.

I have chosen a 1.5 inch Murano Glass Tachyon Bead to begin this Touchstone Strand It has flashes of gold and copper and beautiful turquoise on white. It is not flat, but slightly curved to please the touch! The Spiral is an ancient and powerful symbol, reflecting this energy known as the oneness, unconditional divine love, and Zero Point energy. The living spiral does not begin or end, it is an ongoing process of the discovery of the essence that connects all things.

Entering In: With the four small spiral spacer beads at the beginning of the prayer strand, you enter into this "journey” of prayer. Spacer Beads remind you to breathe, relax, enjoy the moment, and have faith that your journey is unfolding as it should. The spiral is a symbol of the spiritual journey of learning and growing. It seems that life doesn't proceed in a straight line. The path of life more closely resemble a spiral. We seem to pass the same point over and over again but from a different perspective each time. The spiral stands for coming into being.

It can symbolize:
  • Evolution and holistic growth
  • Letting go, surrender, release
  • An awareness of the one within the context of the whole
  • Connectivity and union with universal energies
  • Revolutions of time, stars, planets and the way of natural progress
With each bead you might recite the verses of a Buddhist gatha, such as:

Breathing in, I relax body and mind.
Breathing out, I smile.
Dwelling in the present moment,
I realize this is the only moment.

My favorite:

Open my eyes, that I might see your face in everyone I encounter this day, myself included.
Open my ears, that I might hear your voice in whatever forms it takes.
Open my hands, that I might freely give whatever is mine to share.
Open my heart, that I might live and love more fully in you.

Take the time here to be fully intentional about your practice.

Naming: The first Affirmation Bead is for naming the sacred and the holy of your understanding. In traditional prayer terminology, this is praise and thanksgiving. You can think of it as naming the places in your life where miracles abound, a chance to "count your blessings,” or a way of beginning your prayer centered in the awareness of the ways in which the holy is happening in your life.

Turquoise opens all of the chakras, allowing love and communication to flow through your entire being.

It is the color of serenity and spiritual bonding. Turquoise can also benefit the operation of the Heart Chakra by opening it up for giving and receiving love. It strengthens our connection to Spirit.

" With my heart and mind open to life-giving love, I receive spiritual healing now.
I am healthy and strong—physically, emotionally, and
spiritually—because I am One with the Creator's healing and rejuvenating
presence.

I am created in the likeness of my Creator.
Physical and spiritual healing are my birthright.
I am healthy and blessed in mind, body, and spirit."

The Three Spiral Spacer Beads: The three small beads between the Affirmation Beads are for "breath prayer.” Many of the world’s religious traditions encourage a short, repetitive prayer tied to the breath. You say one line on the in-breath and a second on the out-breath. You can use two lines from tradition or scripture—the classic from the Christian tradition is "Jesus Christ / have mercy on me”—or you can create your own. Once you settle on a two-part phrase, keep saying the same thing. Part of the power of a breath prayer is its repetition. Live with it long enough for it to become a part of you.

Knowing: The second Affirmation Bead is for giving voice to the broken, wounded, worried places in your soul. (Traditionally, this is called a prayer of confession.) It is the chance to take a "fearless moral inventory” and to give voice to what lurks in the shadow. Prayer calls on us to be authentic, whole people, and knowing where we are weak and wounded is essential.

Listening: The third Affirmation Bead is for listening to "the voice of quiet stillness” within. This is a chance to sit in the Mystery, gently breathing. (Depending on the tradition, this is called meditation or contemplation.) Far too often, people think of prayer as "talking to the sacred,” forgetting that in any good conversation we must make room to listen as well as speak.

Loving: The fourth and last Affirmation Bead provides a place to bring the concerns of others—family, friends, communities, the world—into your prayer. These prayers of intercession, as they are traditionally called, are a chance to encourage your prayer to move outward. Call to mind people and situations you know who are in need, or sit quietly and see who (or what) comes to mind.

Closing: Whatever you said to enter into your prayer time, repeat with the four beads at the end of the strand.

Putting It All Together: You can take the journey of this prayer practice all at one time (expect to spend at least 30 minutes), or you can spread it out during the day (for example, Naming after breakfast, Knowing at lunch, Listening before dinner, and Loving before bed). Some people carry their beads with them everywhere, like "worry beads,” and find that simply touching them—while in line at the bank, or when waiting for a friend—brings them into a prayerful place.

“I think about what is right and working in my life. I focus on the positive.”

We hope that Journey Beads will add beauty and and light to your journey, and remind you to celebrate each step and milestone! Its a new year, a new beginning. May you be blessed on your journey through 2010 and always.

A Quick Guide To Color Therapy, Affirmations,
and Chakra Meditations using Journey Beads

Wearing Green Nurturing and earthy, green is considered to be one of the most healing among all the colors. Because green is the color of trees and grasses it is a wonderful color choice to wear anytime you are wanting to feel more in-tune with nature. Green represents the Spring season and new growth. Choose this color to wear whenever you are embarking on something new or wish to turn over a new leaf.

Blue Wearing blue helps create a place of calm and serenity. Wearing ocean hues of blue is especially calming. Indigo or darker blues can offer more of a comfort zone feeling, almost as if you are sinking into a pool of warm water. Blues in general remind me of a favorite pair of well-worn denim jeans – now that’s simply relaxing.

Orange Orange urges you to get out into the world and create something grand! Orange is a very high energy color. Its creativity juices are extremely intoxicating and sweet tasting. Wearing orange is fun and can make you feel quite playful. Artists love dabbling with orange hues. Orange screams with sexual energy too, not surprising since orange is associated with the sacral chakra. Because of its highly-charged intensity some people cannot comfortably wear this color. Adorning yourself with an orange accent piece can add a hint of playfulness. Beware, if you need to complete a mundane project avoid wearing orange as it might interfere with the stick-to-it-ness required to stay on task.

Pink  conveys compassion and an open heart. Most people associate pink with babies, little girls, and feminine energies. But more than feeling feminine, wearing pink conveys compassion and an open heart. When people are wearing pink, whether they are male or female, they appear approachable and capable of loving others. If you want to feel heart-connected reach for pink. And if pastel colors don’t suit you try on something in bright fuchsia. You’ll feel pretty in pink.

The Color Purple especially shades of violet shows that you feel special and unique. If you would like to send a message out into the world that you’re one of a kind and that you know who you are choose purple.

Red Power and Confidence. Wear red whenever you feel a need to portray confidence or would like to boost your self esteem. However, be aware that wearing too much red can make a person come off a little too intimidating to others who may lack self confidence in themselves. Visualizing the color red can help ground your energies so anyone who has “flighty” tendencies will benefit from wearing red to serve as a reminder to ground themselves throughout the day.

Yellow is Cheerful and Happy! Yellow is the perfect color to wear whenever your spirits needs an uplift. Yellow carries the same healing qualities associated with the sun. It offers warmth, optimism, and light. All shades of yellows and golds will cheer you up and help make you feel happier. Wearing yellow out into the world makes a very positive affirmation statement.

Meditation is widely known as a potent method of focusing the mind and healing the body, as well as attaining self-realization. There are many different ways to mediate but one of the most powerful of these is Chakra meditation using the affirmations found in the listing.
Wearing a Journey Beads chakra balancing bracelet or necklace, or carrying a Touchstone strand can bring you to this meditation with just a bit of practice.

Chakras are our energy centers. They are the openings for life energy to flow into and out of our aura. Their function is to vitalize the physical body and to bring about the development of our self-consciousness. They are associated with our physical, mental and emotional interactions. There are seven major chakras. The first chakra (root) actually hangs outside of your body. It is located between your thighs, about halfway between your knees and your physical body. The seven chakra (crown) is located on the top of your head. The remaining chakras, (sacral, solar plexus, heart, throat, and third eye), are aligned in sequence along your spine, neck, and skull. Individually, your chakras look similar to funnels with petal-like openings. Chakras are invisible to the human eye, but they can be perceived intuitively by trained energy workers.

Having your chakras evaluated by a trained practitioner is a good way to get a better understanding of how your body functions on an energetic level. An energy worker trained in reading chakras will be able to tell you which chakras are functioning poorly and which chakras are working overtime. When one or two chakras are performing at a reduced level, the remaining chakras have to pick up the slack. Having a non-functioning chakra can effectively "blow out" an otherwise healthy chakra. A healer trained in manipulating the energy flow of energy can assist you in getting misaligned chakras back to functioning properly.

There are a variety of healthy actions you can take to help balance, strengthen and allow your energy to flow naturally including wearing a Journey Beads Chakra Balancing bracelet or necklace, and practicing daily positive affirmations.
